New Google search interface

The result I'd expect to be first appears 4th in the list below sponsored, news and an image.  Not too keen on first impression but sure they haven't changed it on a whim, it'll be interesting to use more thoroughly - instructions of how to view http://gizmodo.com/5412801/ (run from google.com)

Simple but effective

Amazingly simple effect and difficult to show using a static image but really really like. Scroll down the page, the menu on the right stays with you, fairly standard stuff, the nice touch is the exposure of the logo above the navigation http://maxvoltar.com/articles/

Google Chrome OS Screenshots

Not sure what I was expecting from the Google OS but it was a little more than just a browser in it's own environment.  What's there seems quite tidy, it works well and pages render quite nicely. I'm running it in a virtual machine so performance wasn't amazing but I'll be sticking onto a dedicated machine soon enough to test real world performance.

Another tidy looking bike frame site #stuffthatsgood

http://vikingcycles.com/store.php

landing page seems a little pointless and this page might be better split into a couple but shows what decent photography and products can do for your site.

Fanomen @ Leeds Film Fest. a Magnitude Site #stuffthatsgood

http://fanomenonleeds.com/

This has been a great site to work on. Very rarely as a developer/creative you get an almost free reign on a project as interesting as this.  Magnitude were approached by the organisers of Leeds Film Festival to create a site dedicated to their Horror/Fantasy section of the festival.  Dave Burley who heads up our creative dept spent a ton of his free time putting this together and has done a brilliant job of merging the dark tones associated with the genera and the clean lines needed to present the vast amount of data.

The site's a freebie so we couldn't go nuts in term of development but we've covered most of the bases. The use of the open source framework PHP-WAX and WildFire CMS brought the development time down to approx. 2.5 days.
